After exploring the Hip Hop / Soul territory on "Liquid, her upcoming release, "It Is What It Is, takes things back to RuthAnnes artistic core; a relatable lyric and a world class vocal performance. "It Is What It Is is a piano ballad co-written with Fraser T Smith (Adele, Dave, Stormzy, Sam Smith); a live studio recording of the two of them in one take. Further production was attempted but nothing could reach the magic of the stripped back piano live take. RuthAnne says:

"It is what it is is a lyric I have always wanted to write as its such a universal phrase. The song is about the bittersweet acceptance you experience in the final days of a toxic relationship, letting go and having respect for yourself.

Living in the UK, RuthAnne started as a brand new artist in March 2018. In the last year, RuthAnne has built up an online following of almost 50k, has played live supporting Alanis Morrissette, Third Story, Niall Horan and X Ambassadors, and has recently been confirmed as the main support for Hozier in December. She's already written her album, which will be led up to by an incredible string of tracks set for release in Q1 2019. RuthAnne has continued to collaborate with a whole host of high profile artists in the studio, including Zedd, Martin Garrix, Sigma, and Snakehips, and has also written a track with John Legend on his 2018 Christmas record ("No Place Like Home).

Ruthanne recently won Woman of The Year at the Irish Tatler Awards and was Vevos Artist of the Month in October 2018. She appeared on the cover of Weekend Magazine in The Irish Independent and garnered support from the likes of The Times, Complex, Clash, Wonderland and Billboard.
