Official tourism website for Cork, Ireland

Nestled among the lush greenery of Fota Island, Fota House Arboretum and Gardens stands on what was once the 800 acre estate of the Smith Barry family.

The house is open to visitors and four fascinating guided tours are provided daily from March until October. Tours of the adjacent Victorian Working Garden with the garden can be pre booked. The adjoining arboretum is carefully tended to by our friends the OPW (Office of Public Works) and can be explored without charge.

The old billiard room is home to 'Bakestone at Fota House' a delightfully airy café serving delicious morning treats and freshly prepared lunch offerings. The house can be booked for events and Civil Weddings and Wedding Photograph sessions are very popular here. Easter, Halloween and Christmas events are ever popular as a range of summer outdoor theatre and musical evenings. Come on down.......
