This is one of Cork's most popular and picturesque Blue Flag beaches and is approximately 20 minutes drive from Kinsale. Partially backed by sand dunes, the strand is hemmed in by Kinsale Head and its iconic lighthouse - one of the most southerly points in Ireland.
Lifeguards are present during summer months and the beach is popular with swimmers, young and old. There's also a public toilet block which is open year round.
A short walk west leads to another Blue Flag beach, Garretstown.
