Official tourism website for Cork, Ireland

The Lusitania museum is housed in a restored Signal tower which was built at the Old Head of Kinsale in 1804. It was officially opened to the public in 2015 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Lusitania which happened just 18 Km off our coast with the loss of nearly 1200 lives.

View the artifacts of the Lusitania and read newspapers of the time reporting the disaster. Enjoy the panoramic views from the top of the tower of the unspoiled coastline.

Spend time in the memorial garden looking at the 20 meter "Wave" sculpture which has all the names of those who sailed on the Lusitania before relaxing in our on-site cafe with a coffee and delicious cakes.
