Comedy Cavern: Katie Boyle 'Terapy'
Comedian Katie Boyle is back from NYC and presents her new show “Terapy”. Boyle was just selected as a JFL international New Face. Her first one-hour comedy album, "I'll Do It Myself" was just released and hit #1 on the charts. She’s the host of The Shift Podcast.
Her new show is about navigating NYC’s open attitude to mental health and sex from an irish perspective. Since she’s moved there she’s met Americans who share their mental health issues, kinks and star sign as an introduction and though it was a culture shock she’s learned so much. It has made her become more open about sex, go to therapy but she still doesn’t understand star signs! Americas have helped her while roasting how she says “therapy” and everything else. This show is about coming from a culture who didn’t, when she was growing up, talk openly or proudly about sex to a city that does but is based in a country who love guns and cant say the cword! She also shares stories around moving to America, being robbed, dating and relationships.
