John Blek & The Rats celebrate 10th anniversary of debut album.
John Blek & the Rats are coming back together in 2023 for a VERY limited run of gigs with just ONE show in the hometown Cork.
They are celebrating the 10th Anniversary of their debut album 'Leave your love at the Door' with a barn storming, soul saving & shit kicking set Coughlans Live Music Festival '23
The group haven’t performed live together since September 2017 when they called it a day after years of hard touring around Ireland, the UK, Germany and The Netherlands.
The seed of the reunion show was planted at the annual Rats Christmas party in December 2022 & when the booze wore off it still seemed like a good idea, so here it is. Six friends, older, not wiser are going to breathe new life into their debut record one more time.
Their live performances are known for their energy and musicianship, as well as their storytelling and lyrical depth. Overall, John Blek & The Rats are a highly regarded band within the Irish folk and roots music scene, with a loyal following and a reputation for their passionate performances and soulful songwriting.
