Queer-centric pagan harvest festival at a deconsecrated medieval church in the heart of Cork City.
Drawing together a variety of cultural practices, Lughnasadh seeks to contextualise queer Irish creative discourse, questioning the heteronormative and post-colonial societal framework that people of marginalised genders and sexualities are subjected to.
Opening night on the 31st of July, the traditional beginning of Lughnasadh, with ancient victuals, uplifting music & epicurean celebrations against the backdrop of contemporary visual art.
Exhibition to remain in place for people to visit until the following weekend with talks, workshops & café culture gatherings throughout the week.
Admission: gratis, but donations to help cover production costs will be most welcome. A percentage of art sales will also be donated to worthy & community-oriented organisations.
