The Gaeltachtaí of West Cork

The Gaeltachtaí are beautiful areas of Ireland, where the Irish language remains the first language of those who live there. Irish or Gaeilge is the community language here and is a fundamental part of the local identity. It’s not alone though, other elements of traditional Irish culture are also very much alive here too.
