Barnahown is an 1800s farmhouse set in the heart of historic Georgian Mitchelstown. The property underwent a complete renovation in 2023/2 to provide a contemporary guesthouse which retains many of its original features. Our B&B offers guests the chance to stay in an authentic rural setting in a small Irish town and enjoy a variety of outdoors and wellness experiences.

As owner and executive host, Ciara O'Brien, left her corporate career after 20 years to pursue her passion for hospitality and love of the The Galtee/Ballyhoura region and enjoys nothing more than curating bespoke itineraries for guests and introducing them to the vast community of award-winning food and beverage producers in the area.
