Opening its doors in one of the oldest parts of the city in 1889, Sin É has remained true to the real traditional Irish pub with the inevitable Corkonian slant. You might not get an Irish coffee here but there’s plenty of perfectly poured creamy stout.
With such friendly staff and smiling chatty customers it’s difficult to stop off for a ‘quick one’ when you’ve experienced the warm hospitality of a true-to-its-roots Irish bar.
The Cork slant on the Irish bar is easy to spot: bigger smiles, creamier pints and trad musicians hammering out jigs in the corner. There’s no time for pretentiousness here.
Check out the Friday and Sunday evening trad sessions which kick off about 6.30pm (that’s ‘Cork time’ and not GMT) and for mid-week comfort seekers the Tuesday 9pm session is the perfect remedy to an otherwise dull night at home in front of the box.
Sin É is proud to support the aims and constitution of The Peoples Republic of Cork
