Official tourism website for Cork, Ireland

Costigan's is a traditional Irish pub nestled in the heart of Washington Street, Cork City. It is also one of Cork's oldest pubs, established in 1849.

The building itself originally operated as a fish mongers. It then became a coach house and years later a sweet shop until it finally blossomed into the charming pub that it is today, Costigan's Pub.

Through the centuries it has retained its true Irish character.

It is an old style public house with its long bar counter, snug and parlour area; not to mention the open fire and iconic beer garden. With an extensive local whiskey and gin selection from Cork and the rest of Ireland, Costigan's Pub is the perfect setting to enjoy a drink or two. Costigan's stunning individual architecture provides the ideal atmosphere to enjoy one of Ireland's most traditional pubs.

Although located in Cork's City Centre, at daytime Costigan's is an escape from the hustle and bustle of city centre trade. It provides a traditional Irish country style atmosphere where you can really appreciate the iconic homely décor.

However, by night Costigan's feeds off the energy of its customers and adapts to meet their tastes. If its music you're after, Costigan's plays host to an array of local musicians playing live Monday through Thursday playing everything from traditional Irish tunes to current pop numbers. If you're a sports fanatic you'll find all the major sporting events and matches on all of our seven screens. If you prefer a quieter, more intimate setting, you can tuck yourself away in our cosy snug. Costigan's is your local, no matter where you live!
