Pianist and Blue Note recording artist James Francies has toured and recorded with some of modern music’s most influential innovators: Pat Metheny, Jeff Tain Watts, Chris Potter, Stefan Harris, and Chance the Rapper. He was named “Rising Star Keyboardist” by the Downbeat Magazine Critics poll and has released 2 albums on Blue Note Records.
Prolific bassist and producer Michael Janisch has collaborated with Lee Konitz, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Walter Smith III, Kenny Wheeler, John Taylor and founded Whirlwind Recordings, the UK based indie.
In addition to touring with heavyweights Bill Frisell, JD Allen, Dave Douglas and Tia Fuller, drum set virtuoso Rudy Royston has had a prolific career as a bandleader and songwriter, leading his quintet at New York’s historic Village Vanguard and releasing 5 albums on Douglas' Greenleaf Music label.
