As you may be aware my 6 year old little boy Matthew was murdered on the 9th of February earlier this year. Matthew was my only child and I am completely heartbroken as a result of his death, however we did have a wonderful 6 years together, for which I will be forever grateful. Matthew was an intelligent, articulate, funny and socially conscious little lad, he was an absolute pleasure to be with, and it was the greatest honor and privilege of my life to have been his dad. The loss Matthew has suffered is enormous, is absolute, and final, everything has been stolen from him in this life. The only thing I can do for him now in this life is to honor his memory and to bring as much positivity in his name as possible despite all the devastation and destruction. Therefore, to celebrate and honor Matthew we are planning to do a number of things in the future, the first of which is to take place in Watergrasshill village on the 19th of May to celebrate his birthday, for which he would have turned 7 years old on the previous Friday the 17th of May. We are holding a motorbike and vintage car run with music etc afterwards with all proceeds and donations going to Make A Wish, a charity which reflects Matthew’s fun and adventurous character. I would appreciate your support with this fundraiser, you can donate via the link below or on the day if you are attending the event, everyone is welcome. I would also appreciate it if you could forward this to your own list of contacts, your support is greatly appreciated, thank you. https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/MatthewHealyMemorial Thank you.
