Blackwater Valley Makers, Fermoy are looking forward to hosting an exciting exhibition of artworks by young, local artist Stephany Skinner running through February and March. Stephany studied in Clonmel but is mostly self taught and uses watercolours and her tablet to create her artworks. “My work is inspired by history, mainly the Victorian and Edwardian styles and I love fashion history and drawing delicate things like flowers and clothes. I also enjoy old movies from the silent era of cinema and try to incorporate that interest into my art.” Stephany’s work will be on display in the upstairs gallery at 12 McCurtain Street which is open Monday to Saturday, 10am till 6pm.
