Stadium-sized live music, comedy and podcasts events happening this summer in Cork
June is ‘big
gig’ month in Cork with a host of well-known acts playing conerts at big capacity venues.
Major acts taking to stages in Cork this year include George Ezra, The 1975, Paolo Nutini, The Chemical Brothers, Kodaline, Florence and the Machine, The Prodigy, The Frames, Aitch, Tommy Tiernan, Olly Murrs, Bell X1,
Mimi Webb, Christy Moore, The Waterboys, Rod Stewart, Jenny Greene and the RTÉConcert Orchestra.

Mega-popular podcasters The 2 Johnnies do their first
stadium event in Cork while Joanne McNally and Vogue Williams whose 'MyTherapist Ghosted Me' podcast that now reaches 2.5 million listeners a month do
a run of three nights at The Marquee.

VISITOR INFORMATION
Musgrave Park stadium is the home of rugby in Cork and a 30 minute walk from
the city centre or a short bus journey on the 203 which leaves St. Patrick
Street approximately every 20 minutes. Bear in mind that city buses take
cash/coin and LEAP card only (it’s not possible to tap a debit card once on board).
Live at the Marquee is situated in the Munster Show Grounds, a 25 minute easy/flat
walk from the city centre and within walking distance of lots of hotels,
guesthouses, hostels and B&Bs. Shuttle buses operate from the city centre
on gig nights. It’s also possible to park in the show grounds but you must
purchase parking from Ticketmaster online in advance.

Cycling is also an option with much of the way to both venues serviced by bike
lanes. Despite Cork’s reputation is a hilly city, the routes to both venues happen
to be completely flat.

One of the most popular and diverse eateries in Cork is the Marina Market which
is a 5 minute walk from the Live at the Marquee arena on the way from the city
centre. Most stalls open until 7/7.30pm making it a great location to grab some
grub on the way to a gig.
INDIEPENDENCE
Cork's big music festival takes place August 4-6th 2023 in Mitchelstown and features a host of top music acts such as The Coronas, Belters Only, King Kong Company, Anne-Marie, Inhaler, Raye, Jax Jones, Two Door Cinema Club, We Are Scientists and Cork's own Cian Ducrot. The town is a 40 minute drive north of Cork City. The 245 bus leaves Cork city bus station every hour - journey time approx 1 hour.
