Official tourism website for Cork, Ireland

A small cafe/kitchen with lovely outdoor seating located on Short Quay. We open 6 days a week serving a rotating brunch/ lunch menu with staples like our seaweed butter egg & toast or the brioche breakfast roll. You’ll see our menu written up on our door- it changes frequently, we keep it creative, seasonal and local.

At Saint Francis, the rituals of coffee, lunch, dinner and cake are not only an enjoyable experience, but act as a connector, creating conversations and from there, community. We think of this place as a force for positive exchanges and a celebration of the diverse and talented community we are part of.

We talk about good vibes a lot! And it might seem a bit odd at first but we have built this little place on the philosophy that gut feelings are worth trusting. Everything we do is hand made, with guts.

From August we will welcome Cork native, Darren Kennedy, to our team. After a 5 year stint in London’s Restaurants, Darren will lead our kitchen as we expand our hours to open nights, welcome private events, and offer catering. We will be producing a small, focused and super creative menu to feed you as you enjoy our lovely wines and beers. Like our food, out wines are thoughtfully sourced with a focus on low intervention producers, that are gentle on the earth.

We have loved creating a joyful space that celebrates the ritual of gathering to enjoy great food, wine, music and chat.
