The fifth annual Tracton Music and Arts Festival will be officially opened by Liam O'Maonlai of the Hothouse Flowers on Thursday 4th July at 7pm at the Tracton Arts and Community Centre, Minane Bridge, Cork. This will be followed by a concert by Liam O'Maonlai, starting at 8:30pm.

The festival will then run until Sunday 7th July with over 30 events including an art exhibition, film screening and music gigs ranging from folk to classical. Fun activities for children include a music workshop, a juggling class, a bug hunt and seaweed foraging.

This year's music gigs and concerts at the Inkwell Theatre in Minane Bridge include Liam O'Maonlai, Kila, Luka Bloom and The Danu Quartet. The film screening of Willem Defoe's moving portrayal of Vincent Van Gogh's final days, At Eternity's Gate' is on Saturday 6th July at 4pm. A Cabaret on Saturday evening features the Cork Improv comedy crew and members of Cork's Circus Factory.
