Tracton Arts Festival runs from Thursday 5th July to Sunday 8th July 2018. The festival opens at 7pm, with a free gig by funky soul band, Musical Brotherhood.
The community wood fired oven will be fired up on the opening night, providing fresh pizza, and there will be artisan food and drinks and a party atmosphere to welcome everyone.
The festival organisers have four days of fantastic entertainment planned, with an eclectic mix of art, drama and music, in addition to workshops and demonstrations of painting techniques, raku pottery firing and bronze casting.
Over 41 artists will exhibit for the duration of the festival which has thirty different events. Music concerts over the weekend will feature folk trio, Greenshine, and Cork duo, Ye Vagabonds.
There will be comedy cabaret in the theatre on Saturday with Snatch Comedy Improv and Deirdre O'Kane. On Sunday morning there will be a screening of the beautiful animated film "Loving Vincent and the festival will end on a high note on Sunday evening 8th July with the headline band, the Hothouse Flowers.
