SUPPER: Friday and Saturday – 7.30pm Written by Ger Fitzgibbon. Starring Fionula Linehan. A Theatre Makers’ Ltd. production, Directed by Jack Healy. Whether it’s a wedding, a christening, or a debs’ ball, everyone comes expecting transformation. “The straight-haired ones want curls, the curly-headed ones want it straight. They want it crimped, styled, chopped, coloured or streaked, but of course they want it to look ‘natural’.” And that is what she gives them. She is therapist, counsellor, story-teller and magician all rolled into one. Unfortunately, that doesn’t always leave her the time or the energy to deal with the crises in her own life. In the course of an hour we encounter the Hairdresser, her life, her customers and her colleagues: her lovely assistant, Kylie, who creates chaos wherever she goes; Miss Cadogan who had a thing for umbrellas; the dapper old gent with the gamey eye; the sister-in-law visiting from foreign parts and the retired husband who cheats at Countdown. Make a date to see your hairdresser: Fionula Linehan in The Hairdresser’s Calendar. TICKETS: SUPPER: €22.50 each or 2 tickets for €40. Ticket price includes supper, glass of wine / soft drink, dessert and the show. Supper is served from 7.30pm followed by show at 9pm. Show only (without meal) €10 per person.
