Razor Sharp Death Blizzard were forged from the molten steel remnants of two bands from the Scottish Borders, Ridgeback and Swellbellys, who on their respective genres achieved both national and international success. The band draws upon the ferocious vocal talents of Jamie Clark (Ridgeback/Ninth Circle), the brutal wall of noise that is Guitarist Daz Mcswell (Swellbellys/Issues Of Morality) and in the beginning Dean Cook (Ridgeback/Nightmare Frequency) fulfilled drumming duties before leaving to concentrate on Nightmare Frequency and sound engineering full time. Enter stage left Liam Roberts filled the vacant drum stool. What followed was a revolving door of bass players and the frustration at the lack of decent bass players led to a period of eighteen months of instability. By chance on of all things Ross Corbett, was spotted playing bass at a local show so was approached and invited to try out with the band. This led to the current line up which has been stable now for two years. How would we describe Razor Sharp Death Blizzard in three words? Uncompromising, Political, Loud! Support on the night comes from Galway band Black Shuck who bring an eclectic mix of many different styles of metal and rock and a groovy heavy chaotic stage show. They also played Bloodstock festival in 2019.
