St. Johns Central College on Sawmill Street, in the heart of Cork City, opens its doors to the public on the opening of the annual exhibition of student work on Friday May 24th from 6.30pm 9pm.
The title of the Exhibition, Creativity Central, was chosen to reflect the fact that the college is well known as a vibrant centre for creativity, and this exhibition proudly displays a diverse range of creative media.
Visitors to the exhibition will first appreciate the vast variety of courses designed for students wishing to express their creative, imaginative, technical and artistic talents.
Indeed, nineteen courses are represented, from Art to Computer Games Design, Animation to Interior Architecture, Creative Hairstyling to Photography, Musical Instrument Making to Film Production. There is something for everyone.
Entertainment will be live music from the college Gospel choir, and later, an eclectic exploration of musical fusion, as David Bickley and Declan Young from the brand-new Soundtracks and Sound Design course team up with students from the Musical Instrument Making Department.
The Exhibition will be open to the public Monday May 27th and Tuesday May 28th from 9:30am to 4pm daily.
Tuesday May 28th will also be an Open Day, aimed particularly for mature students.
