Official tourism website for Cork, Ireland

The Michael Dwyer Festival is a traditional music festival commemorating our great local tin whistle and fiddle player Michael Dwyer. We'll be celebrating with music trails, concerts, dance performances and workshops.

We have an exciting program lined up including gigs with well known musicians, the concert in the mine museum this year headlining Paddy Keenan, (member of the Bothy band) and some members of the O'Dwyer family. Muphy's Men are also performing and that promises to be a very lively gig.

Come and join in the singing session with the Cork singers and take part in the workshops in, tin whistle, fiddle or singing. Some of the other artists contributing to this years festival are: Matt Cranitch, Jackie Daly, The Ceili All Stars, Richard Dwyer and Richard Lucey, John Dwyer and Leah Murphy and Sean Wholihan.
