The Cork Head of the River takes place on Saturday 12th October at the Marina in Cork City, this was cancelled earlier on in March due to poor weather conditions. The action kicks off at 8:30am, with crews from throughout the country, it promises to be a great days racing. Master crews, both men and women, is now on the rise again with most clubs hosting a crew, we await old clashes to be rowed out again. The start line is on Horgan’s Quay and the finish line at Blackrock Castle. A distance of approx. 4km, over which all crews will race against the clock. All craft size will compete within their own categories, from singles through to eights, from Junior crews to Masters. Good viewing positions can be had over the length of the course, both sides of the river. With the best being had on the Marina. Follow @CorkRegatta. Start times for the various categories: Morning session: 8:30am – 9:30am – 10:00am Afternoon session: 1:00pm – 1:45pm – 2:30pm
