Official tourism website for Cork, Ireland

Our Franciscan Monks were creative hippies of their day who challenged the status quo of the church.

Still surviving the Well which lends it's name to the brewery, was fabled to have healing qualities and drew pilgrims from near and far to have a drink from its water.

The Franciscan Well Brewery was founded in 1998 on the site of the old Friary and combines modern technology with age-old traditions to create classic and experimental brews an established range of award winning beers, and seasonal specials.

The Franciscan Well has now also opened Cork's first Brewhouse Cocktail bar, where their mixoogists work along side their expert brewers to create new craft cocktails that go against the norm of the traditional cocktail
