Official tourism website for Cork, Ireland

One of Cork's oldest pubs with a fine beer garden overlooking the river. Does great free food after work on a Friday with a Free Full Pig on a Spit on the first Friday of every month and home-made pizzas from its garden wood burning pizza oven on others. Comes alive on Friday and Saturday nights with live DJs and is open until 2am on a Saturday night.

Crowd is trendy but not to cool for school and all ages mix. Can get really packed at the weekends with customers dancing on tables and live sax players wandering the pub.

One of the unique features of the pub is the shipping container covered snug in the beer garden - a nod to the pub's docklands heritage.

The pub has a policy of no wallpaper television and only wheels big screens in for big rugby matches, major world and European events and of course Cork GAA matches.

Super Sunday Brunch served from 11am to 3pm on Sundays - Eggs Benedict, Full and half Irish, baked smoked haddock and homemade pancakes with maple syrup. Cool live band singalong on Sunday nights from around 8.30pm.

Breakfast from 10am weekdays with lunch from 12noon until 3ish. Doorstep sandwiches, hot special, roast in a roll, salad and soup of the day, fresh crab and salmon open sambos. Everything freshly homemade in the pub.

Also takes Party Bookings. Telephone: 00353 21 4840667
