At Poachers Inn we are committed to presenting our customers with the freshest & best seafood that the West Cork coastline has to offer. We are also committed to giving you the fruits of the sea in a totally unpreserved way.
For example, we cook and crack our own crab.we don't use the pasteurised product as it damages the natural sweetness of the product. Also, we buy all our local prawns whole and live, not frozen and peeled. Again, this is for quality of product reasons so the customer can enjoy them at their very best. We buy fish 6/7 days a week from great sources that either own day boats or buy from day boats only – we only deal with suppliers that take great pride in their produce. We work hard to ensure the product is at it's best when the customer orders it.
Although we are a Seafood Restaurant, we are also very committed to serving a small number of high quality Meat & Poultry dishes. These are most definitely not an afterthought. We grow many of our own salad leaves. We make all our own breads & desserts in-house . We are very proud of our significant contribution to local, sustainable industry..these products and people drive our menu that we present to our customers daily. We present our food to our customers with light hands & great care driven by our belief that beautiful produce deserves to look great and our hard-working customers deserve to have their appetite whetted before being satisfied.
